August 2007 Newsletter

It may be hoooot outside, but we're dreaming about cooler weather. We love autumn and winter holiday stitcheries. We have some wonderful new designs in store for you. Please check our "What's New" button to see all that's recently been delivered.

We also have many wonderful events coming up in the next months. There are many opportunities to save and many opportunities to learn. We hope you take advantage of them.

Please check our "Classes" button to see samples of our upcoming classes. Some of the classes are one-session, some are multi-session. We think we have a nice array for beginning and advanced students. If there are topics you'd be interested in, however, that we haven't covered, please let us know. The classes are for you, so we want you to be happy with our selection.

We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer. Whether you're vacationing, getting the kids ready for back-to-school, or desperately trying to save your lawn and garden from the heat, remember to pamper yourself a little with some needlework. It's a good thing.

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

As most of the world knows, Lizzie*Kate is coming to town! She'll be here on Saturday, September 22 from 9-3 at the Radisson Hotel. She's designed a piece just for us and will give a fun-loving luncheon slide show on "A Day in the Life of Lizzie*Kate." If you haven't already registered, please do so now. The cost is only $65 and includes all materials and lunch.

Spotlight Designer of the Month

This month's designer is Little House Needleworks. We love her stuff. Enjoy a mini trunk show of her designs August 1-31. As an added bonus, receive 10% off her charts and 20% off the kits she collaborated on with Crescent Colors (while supplies last).

We carry a number of crafting magazines. You can enjoy: "Just Cross Stitch," "Create and Decorate," and "Sampler and Antique Needlework Quarterly." We have lots of back issues of "Rug Hooking," and the "Wool Street Journal" that you can purchase at a reduced rate.

We're still taking reservations for the "Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament Issue." We will have a limited amount coming in, so if you'd like one, let us know

Let's Go Clubbing!

The wool candle mat club, featuring designs from Bare Roots, is the first Friday of each month beginning September 7 from 5:30-7:30. Each month we'll applique a candle mat appropriate for that month. If you sign up, you get a birthday mat free during the month of your birthday.

Punch Pals is a club for punchneedlers. Come in on the third Thursday of each month, beginning September 18, from 5:30-7:30. Just bring in a punchneedle project that you're working on and enjoy the company of other punchers.

Our charm-of-the-month club is FINALLY on track. If you haven't picked up your July charm yet, it's ready. The August charm is also ready and can be picked up, too. From now on, we'll have them in the first week of every month.

The Crosse Stitchery Cafe is rolling along nicely, too. If you're interested in this fun, fun club, call for more info.
