Hello! Sorry this newsletter is late, but we've been so busy rearranging the store and getting ready for the Super Bowl Sale. To all those who made it to the sale, thank you. Hope you enjoyed it!

February will prove to be a busy month as we have some exciting events coming up. Please look at the classes we're offering, and most especially the events for leap year weekend. If you haven't signed up for the social on the 29th or the French Fantasy Designs class on March 1, please do so soon. Read more about these events in the newsletter, too.

For those of you who love Valentine's Day, we have lots of wonderful Valentine designs. We wish a happy Valentine's Day to all of our "sweetie" customers.

French Fantasy Designs Class

Join us on Saturday, March 1, for the French Fantasy Designs classes. Sharon Smith from FFD will teach us her method of punchneedle on lovely background fabrics in the morning, and then her method of wool applique in the afternoon. The whole day will only cost $35 plus the cost of your project. We have a FFD trunk show in the store now, so you can choose a project. Or, you can go on her website, choose a design, and we'll order it for you.

Both classes will be held at the library on Main Street. The morning class will run from 10-12:30, and the afternoon class will run from 1:30-4:00. If you only want one of the classes, the cost is still $35. Those who are interested in wool applique might be brave, too. She has a surprise design, especially for us, that you can choose as your project. Call or email us today to register.

Sharon's designs are gorgeous and take punchneedle and applique to new levels. Don't miss this one.

Leap Year Social

It's been a while since we held a social at the store. We figured February 29 would be the perfect time to re-introduce the fun. As a leap year special, receive 29% off most in-stock merchandise! Retreat at Stoney Creek

We've enjoyed autumn retreats with A Stitch in Time. Now, join us for a spring retreat with them on March 28-30 at Stoney Creek in Onalaska. (And yes, the room has natural light!)We will have Ott lights for sale for those who need them. Enjoy the jammie jaunts, doorprizes and great treats. The class this time is a combined one with A Stitch in Time. It's so good, it will be worth the cost of admission. We guarantee everyone will love it! What's New?

Please visit our "What's New?" section by clicking on that tab on our home page. We recently received some beauties from Sweetheart Tree. Little House Needlework has some cute new designs, too. After February 15, we'll have lots of newbies from the Nashville market. Browze and enjoy!

Designer of the Month

February's "Designer of the Month" is Little By Little. Cynthia Bradford's designs are both fun and gorgeous. Some are whimsical, while some are old fashioned looking samplers. New, really cute designs will be here after Nashville market, too. So be sure to check back often.

The kit of the month, by Little By Little, is "Hot Chocolate." This one will warm you on these cold February days. The kit, including thread and Blue Moon Java fabric, is only $18.25. The frame is available for only $20.00.

We Gotta Regatta!

During the first two weeks of 2008, the comment we heard most often was, "I have too many projects at home, so it's my New Year's resolution to finish all my projects before I buy new ones." Of course, we don't like to hear this, so we came up with a new program to urge you to finish projects and then begin new ones. It's called, "We Gotta Regatta." Sail the regatta with us from LaCrosse to Lansing, and earn cash along the way. All you need to do is bring in projects that you finish (yes, the one with only 10 stitches left counts). When you bring one in, you sail another mile toward Lansing. For every mile, you earn a Regatta Buck that can be used at the store anytime. The first person to get to Lansing wins a dinner for two at a Mississippi restaurant. See, we gotta regatta.

We think pink is perfect for February, so "Harmony" from Picture This Plus is our February fabric of the month.

CANDLE MAT CLUB

We're celebrating Valentine's Day with this cute heart mat. The kit is only $18.95 and includes wool and pattern.

FRENCH FANTASY DESIGNS

The first in this punchneedle series is "Geranium." The pattern is $19, the backing fabric is $2.50 and the threads are $26 if you choose Weeks Dye Works, or $6.50 if you choose DMC.

JUST ANOTHER BUTTON COMPANY'S TEAPOT SERIES

Again with the hearts! This teapot is all heart, and is sweet because of it. The kit is only $18.95 and includes fabric, chart, thread and buttons. The frame, if you'd like it, is $25.00.
