We are so lucky to have Mill Hill as our "spot light," but we're also really lucky to have a Lizzie*Kate punchneedle trunk show from July 6 to July 24. Enjoy her brightly designed punch projects.

We have some wonderful new designs in store. Most notably, Knotted Tree has another in their floral series called "Summer Floral Sampler," EmieBishop has a lovely hardanger design of Christmas trees, Need'l Love's newest, "Folk Heart Threads," is a lovely book, La-D-Da has "This is the Day," Prairie Schooler's 2007 Limited Edition Santa kit is here, and Chessie and Me has three new designs. For you cat lovers, Homespun Elegance has a new series called "Meowy Tyme." This one is soooo cute. Autumn lovers will love "Grim Gourds" from Plum Street Samplers. This design is a real winner.
By the end of July, we should have the entire collection of Needlepoint Silks in store. Why not convert your DMC colors to silk? Oooooh....

There's a new club in town.It's called The Bare Roots Candle Mat Club.Beginning in September, we'll meet the first Friday of each month and wool applique to our hearts' content.These mats are adorable, and there's one for every month.When you sign up, you will sign up for all 12 months, but you will pay monthly.As a bonus, the month of your birthday, you'll get a birthday mat kit for free! We usually don't hold any classes in the summer, but we thought we'd throw caution to the wind....
Since it's Christmas in July (and we'll have a Lizzie*Kate punchneedle trunk show in July) we're going to use a Lizzie*Kate Christmas punchneedle design for the class. It's a beginning class. If you have a #3 punchneedle, the cost is $28. If you don't have the punchneedle, it's $50.
Class meets on Thursday, July 12 from 5:30-7:30.

August 15 will be the beginning of a year long class on ribbon work and stumpwork. This absolutely drop-dead beautiful design is a 12 part floral design that incorporates both forms of needlework. Learn to use ribbon, beads for stumpwork, and wire for wings on dragonflies. This isn't for the beginning stitcher, but you don't need ribbon or stumpork experience to join. You'll pay monthly, depending on the materials needed. The first class will cost $50. Subsequent classes will be much less expensive. After the first class, we'll decide on meeting times. Wednesday, August 15 from 5:30-7:30.

Sarah's loving Peyote beading and wants to teach you to make a darling peyote bookmark. It's so cute, you'll want to make one for every reader you know. Class meets August 23 from 5:30-7:30 for $26.00.

This fall, you can expect classes on hardanger, crewel, wool applique, wool roving and tuffet making. (Maybe we will invite Little Miss Muffet.) If you'd like to learn a specific form of needlework, let us know. We can probably accommodate you.

Our charm-of-the-month club is moving along nicely. We hope to have the new charm within the next week. For those of you not in the club, there's still time to join. You'll purchase a charm bracelet, and each month a charm of a different stitch. You will learn a new stitch each month that corresponds with the charm. We provide banding, thread, chart and a charm of your initial upon completion of the club.
