July 2009 Newsletter
Hello all,
July is upon us and finally the weather is agreeing. It is one of those beautiful summer days in the 70's, with a nece breeze and a blue sky. OK, I wrote that last line in June. But here we are again with the same weather. These are the days I lke to take my stitching to the patio and sit at my table and enjoy the bright sunshine. Of course I have to fit it in with housework, gardening, summer softball games, and parties. It can be hard, but this is truly the time to enjoy all the good things we have een given. Well, as I write this newsletter, Judy is now living in Hudson, Wisconsin. Thank you for all the warm wishes sending her off. Life is leading her in a new and exciting direction. We wish her the best. I would like to introduce our new employee, Tricia Bakke. I have known Trish for 18 years. Some of you have met her before. She has worked an occasional weekend to the store the last few years. Trish does cross-stitch,hardanger,punch needle, rug hooking, quilting, scrap booking, stamping, stained glass work, woodworking, and just about any other craft there is. She will be a great addition. Now that I have been slow to get this newsletterout, lit's get to the information you have been waiting for.

 What's New
Patriotic Patchwork is an Americana sampler; American Panorama is a long piece with 8 square put together or they can be done individually to make little pieces for ornaments or scissor fobs. Blooming with Inspiration is a pretty cottage summer sampler with flower and birds.
Nora Corbett continues on her Pretty Flower Pixies with Sweet Pea and Pansy.
Cedar Hill just put out two cute little floral pieces. One is the Spring Biscornu, the other is a Pansy Scissor Fob. They are just lke her floral samplers, but recreated on a dimensional object.
Mill Hill is of course putting out new Christmas
designs. They have 6 new little ornament kits on perforated paper using beads to make their hangers. There are also 6 new Bead and Button Kits. For those of you who started collecting the Christmas Village set, they have come out with a Fire Station piece.(According to my husband, the most important part of the town.) The new Perforated Santa Ornaments this year are from the Arctic Circle.
Two new Shepherd's Bush kits came in last week. One is called Wave, and is a complete kit with 30 Ct. Straw linen and sik fibers and button included. Home is a tiny little kit only 49 x 4, done on 32 Ct. Flas linen with Silk. A sheep standing on a hill by his skinny little home.
Just Nan just came out with 2 new pins, a hedgehog and a butterfly. That makes a total of 7 for those of you keeping track.
Rosewood Manor has made another gorgeous piece called Language of the Flowers. Each letter of the alphabet has a flower to go with it. You can easily breack this large piece down into small individual pictures.(We are having her Trunk Show in August; you must see these pieces in person.)
Victoria Sampler has come out with a sampler for all you jazz lovers. In her lovely style, she has the "saints come marching in" with people playing instruments and the look of a southern town with pretty designs.
There are so many things I can't even begin to tell you about them all. Please check out our What's New page on our website to check them out!
