Happy June! This is the month for weddings and graduations and all kinds of busy gatherings. We hope you can make time to stitch since we have so many new and wonderful ideas in store for you. Enjoy this beautiful season, but enjoy some "me" time, too.

Crossed Wing Collection is our spotlight designer of the month for June. This Wisconsin design couple's work is truly beautiful. Birds are their passion. And, the fabric that they hand paint is truly beautiful, too. While their designs might call for their fabric, you'll find that their fabric is lovely for other designs, too. Come and enjoy their designs for the entire month.

We're still not sure of all of the details for Lizzie*Kate's visit this fall. We are sure, however, that she'll be here on September 22 to teach and give a wonderful luncheon presentation. If you'd like us to hold a spot for you, please send us a $10 deposit. We spoke with Linda Ebright last week, and we'll have all the details firmed up before our next newsletter is sent.

June is sweet, but July will be neat. All during June, eat candy bars. Reap the benefits in July. Each time you spend $25 or more during June, you will receive a candy bar with a special wrapper. (One candy bar per visit.) The wrapper is worth $5 toward any "Christmas in July" purchase during July. This is one SWEET deal.

Embroidery is back! We are adding to our embroidery department with designs from Crabapple Hill, crewel from Tristan Brooks, and ribbon from The Thread Gatherer. Come see our lovely samples....perfect for a summer's day.

Our stitch/charm of the month club will begin next week (June 3-9)with the Algerian Eye stitch and charm. For those of you who've already signed up for this great club, come in any time during the week and we'll teach you your stitch. For those who haven't joined, it will be fun and educational. If you join, you purchase a beautiful charm bracelet from Charland Designs. Each month, you will learn a new stitch on a piece of banding that we supply. After learning this stitch you purchase a charm of that stitch. This is a wonderful way to learn and show off your stitching expertise.

The Gentle Art has come out with a new line of threads....wool thread. Seven hand-dyed colors are now available, but 25 more will be available within the month. These threads are wonderful for one strand punch needle, crosse stitch, and for embroidery. They're luscious.

Bent Creek lovers rejoice. A new "Zipper" is here. The "Big Zipper," as it's called, is a big project, but a fun one. The first installment, "Love Grows," includes the border, linen, floss, button and needle. It is $68. Six more designs will be added to complete the project. However, the other six designs will be much less expensive, at only $16 each, because additional fabric will not be needed. If you're interested in this design, let us know. As Bent Creek says, "Live big, love big, stitch big."
