Happy 2007! It feels like it was only a few months ago that we were trying to remember to write “2006” on our checks. We’re finally trained, and things have changed again.
Things are changing at the store, too. We have updates on everyone. Paula is now the proud momma of beautiful Elise Marie. Linda Miles is now Linda Baehr, and the proud grandma of handsome Eliot James. Madeline is continuing to work on some fun events/projects for the store, and has given us many wonderful merchandising ideas. Sue Makinen started working here is November. Her 20 years of framing experience and love of needlework make her a fine addition. Joanne is as busy as ever, and works whenever her schedule allows. Judy’s girls are both licensed drivers (with each having a fender bender within two weeks of obtaining those licenses), and Sarah is busy with show choir, senior pictures, etc.
Linda Dunham, who has been with us for eleven years, is retiring. We will miss her, and appreciate all the wonderful ideas she’s given us over the years. Judy will especially miss her saying (when one of those ideas popped into Linda’s head), “Judy, you know what you should do…..”
Since life does change so much, we’ve decided to make a few changes at the store. We hope you enjoy them and get excited about them as you read this newsletter. We also hope that you have a peaceful, healthy and prosperous 2007.

Another way to celebrate our 13th anniversary is to reward our frequent framing customers. 13% of each framing purchase can be used as a credit toward your next framing visit. (For example, if Colette comes in the store during January with a $100 framing order, she will earn $13 toward her next framing visit.) The earned credit could mean big savings each time you frame. Of course, there are a couple of restrictions. The credits cannot be used toward sale prices on Superbowl Sunday or the fall progressive sale, and you cannot accumulate credits.
We hope you enjoy this new program and take advantage of the wonderful credits you will receive.

Darn Good Discount Program Disbanded
|

We will no longer sell subscriptions for the “Darn Good Discount” program. We will, however, honor the cards that you may be holding. Your program will still be good until your anniversary date for the program is up. After your anniversary date, no new cards will be handed out. Thanks to those who have participated in the program over the past four years.

With hundreds of needlework designers in business, how do you get to know about all of them? Our solution is to spotlight a different designer each month. See some of their finished pieces and their other charted designs. Read a biography of each spotlighted person, and get to know them. Our spotlights will not include the regulars; instead we hope to introduce you to some of our other favorites. These will be mini trunk shows. Our first four designers will be:

February ~ Cedar Hill Designs
March ~ Cross Eyed Cricket
April ~ Full Circle Designs
Each spotlight will run for the entire month. At the same time, be sure to check out the corresponding kit of the month from that designer.
